The Brittany70718 calls we answer most often
If your system is doing any of the following, it is worth a diagnostic before the fault gets more expensive.
Heat pump stuck blowing cold air in heating mode
Furnace lights then shuts down after a few seconds
Skyrocketing utility bills with no change in usage
Short cycling — on and off every few minutes
Breaker trips every time the system starts
Thermostat reading several degrees off from reality
Heating and air conditioning service built around Brittany
Homeowners across Brittany call us when the system simply will not keep up. Extreme humidity and coastal salt air dominate; condensers need frequent cleaning and corrosion checks. That is why we staff a live dispatch line around the clock instead of routing you to a queue.
Around Brittany, condensate drainage is a recurring fault. Blocked drains and failed float switches cause more water damage claims here than actual refrigerant failures do.
We recommend two maintenance visits a year in Louisiana: one before March through November and one before rarely required. It is the single highest-return thing a homeowner can do for equipment life.

Brittany70718 HVAC questions, answered
Is my carbon monoxide risk something I should worry about?
With any combustion appliance, yes. A cracked heat exchanger can spill carbon monoxide into the living space, and it is odourless. We perform combustion analysis and a CO test on every furnace and boiler call in Brittany, and we recommend a working CO alarm on every level of the home regardless of who services your equipment.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Every technician dispatched into Brittany is licensed, insured and background-checked. We can provide proof of insurance on request before the visit if you would like it on file.
How quickly can a technician get to Brittany?
For the 70718 service area our target response time is 90-120 minutes from the moment dispatch confirms your address. Real-world timing depends on the day — the first sustained heat or cold snap of the season is always our busiest period — but we hold technicians locally specifically so that window is achievable rather than aspirational.
Is my system low on refrigerant, or is it leaking?
Refrigerant does not get "used up" the way fuel does. If your charge is low, there is a leak somewhere — usually at a flare connection, a schrader core or the evaporator coil. We locate and repair the leak rather than simply topping up the charge, because a top-up alone will fail again.
Do you service commercial and light commercial properties?
Yes. Around Brittany we handle rooftop packaged units, split systems, VRF/VRV installations and building automation faults for offices, retail, restaurants and multi-tenant buildings, including after-hours scheduling so you are not disrupting trade.
What causes water to leak from the indoor unit?
Almost always a blocked condensate drain line, a failed drain pan float switch, or a frozen coil melting faster than the pan can handle. In Brittany we see algae and dust clogging drain lines constantly during March through November. It is a fast fix but ignoring it ends in ceiling damage.
