If your system is doing any of the following, it is worth a diagnostic before the fault gets more expensive.
Outdoor condenser humming but the fan not turning
Yellow or orange burner flame instead of steady blue
Thermostat reading several degrees off from reality
Dead or bulging run capacitor on the condenser
Musty or burnt smell the first time the system runs
Skyrocketing utility bills with no change in usage
Heating and air conditioning service built around Clatskanie
If your heat pumps and ductless mini-splits has started short cycling, blowing warm air or making a noise it never used to make, you are not alone — Clatskanie generates some of the highest call volume we handle in Oregon. Mild wet winters and a growing number of hot summers have driven a rapid shift toward heat pump installations.
Around Clatskanie, condensate drainage is a recurring fault. Blocked drains and failed float switches cause more water damage claims here than actual refrigerant failures do.
Heating season here is November through March. A pre-season inspection catches cracked heat exchangers and failing igniters before the first real cold snap.

Clatskanie97016 HVAC questions, answered
Do you handle ductless mini-split systems?
Yes. Ductless installations have grown quickly in Oregon, particularly in older homes without existing ductwork. We service indoor heads, clean filters and drain lines, check line-set insulation and diagnose communication faults between heads and the outdoor unit.
Is my system low on refrigerant, or is it leaking?
Refrigerant does not get "used up" the way fuel does. If your charge is low, there is a leak somewhere — usually at a flare connection, a schrader core or the evaporator coil. We locate and repair the leak rather than simply topping up the charge, because a top-up alone will fail again.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can give you realistic ranges — and this page lists the ones homeowners in Clatskanie see most often — but a firm price needs eyes on the equipment. Any company that quotes a final number without seeing the unit is usually quoting low to get through the door.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Every technician dispatched into Clatskanie is licensed, insured and background-checked. We can provide proof of insurance on request before the visit if you would like it on file.
How quickly can a technician get to Clatskanie?
For the 97016 service area our target response time is 90-120 minutes from the moment dispatch confirms your address. Real-world timing depends on the day — the first sustained heat or cold snap of the season is always our busiest period — but we hold technicians locally specifically so that window is achievable rather than aspirational.
What brands do you service in Clatskanie?
All of them. Our 97016 technicians are trained on Lennox, Heil, York, Amana and essentially every other residential brand sold in Oregon, including discontinued lines. We keep a broad parts catalogue on the trucks for exactly that reason.
