The Metairie70005 calls we answer most often
If your system is doing any of the following, it is worth a diagnostic before the fault gets more expensive.
No cool air, or air that is barely cooler than the room
Refrigerant leak at a flare or coil connection
Outdoor condenser humming but the fan not turning
Furnace lights then shuts down after a few seconds
Frozen evaporator coil or ice on the refrigerant lines
Dead or bulging run capacitor on the condenser
Heating and air conditioning service built around Metairie
Whether the complaint is weak airflow upstairs, a furnace that will not stay lit, or an outdoor unit that hums but never starts, the process is the same — a proper diagnostic, a written price, then the repair.
A large share of the equipment we service in Metairie was installed by a builder to a minimum spec. That usually means an undersized return, a cheap filter rack and a condenser sitting close to a wall.
Heating season here is rarely required. A pre-season inspection catches cracked heat exchangers and failing igniters before the first real cold snap.

Metairie70005 HVAC questions, answered
Do you charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays?
No. Our pricing in Louisiana is the same at 2am on a holiday as it is at 2pm on a Tuesday. Emergency calls are dispatched the same way as scheduled calls and carry no overtime premium.
Should I repair my system or replace it?
The usual rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than half the price of a replacement and the equipment is over ten years old, replacement generally wins. We will run that comparison with you on site and show you the maths — and if the honest answer is a $180 capacitor rather than a $9,000 system, that is the answer you get.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can give you realistic ranges — and this page lists the ones homeowners in Metairie see most often — but a firm price needs eyes on the equipment. Any company that quotes a final number without seeing the unit is usually quoting low to get through the door.
How much does an HVAC service call cost in 70005?
A diagnostic visit in Metairie typically runs $75 to $150, and that fee is usually applied toward the repair if you approve the work. Repair prices are quoted as a flat rate before we start, so the number you approve is the number you pay regardless of how long the job takes.
What brands do you service in Metairie?
All of them. Our 70005 technicians are trained on Amana, Bryant, Lennox, American Standard and essentially every other residential brand sold in Louisiana, including discontinued lines. We keep a broad parts catalogue on the trucks for exactly that reason.
What causes water to leak from the indoor unit?
Almost always a blocked condensate drain line, a failed drain pan float switch, or a frozen coil melting faster than the pan can handle. In Metairie we see algae and dust clogging drain lines constantly during March through November. It is a fast fix but ignoring it ends in ceiling damage.
